Applications are invited for a Research Fellow to work full-time on a new project with leading companies from the Broadcast Industry developing real-time augmented reality display and interaction methods for TV production.
Research will contribute novel real-time computer vision methods to support content production in the creative industries. The successful applicant is expected to have an excellent mathematical and programming background, with a PhD in computer vision and/or graphics, They should have experience of C/C++ and real-time GPU/CUDA implementation. Experience and enthusiasm for working with industry to implement technology demonstrators is desirable.
CVSSP is one of the largest computer vision research centres in the UK focusing on vision, graphics, machine learning and signal processing, with 120 members comprising academic, research fellows and PhD students. The centre is supported as a national hub for research in audio-visual media and maintains strong collaborative links with the UK creative industries (film, games and broadcast). http://surrey.ac.uk/cvssp
