Description: Dr. Rohde's laboratory at Carnegie Mellon University is soliciting applications for postdoctoral level scientists interested in developing new mathematical algorithms for bioinformatics and image analysis, with applications in medicine and biology starting in the Summer or Fall of 2015. The successful candidate will join an interdisciplinary team consisting of graduate students, post doctoral associates, and faculty collaborators from a variety of disciplines including: mathematics, biomedical and electrical engineering, computational biology, as well as clinical pathologists and other health scientists. He or she will work with the team to develop new computational algorithms for a variety of image datasets, and apply these to obtain practical solutions to health science problems. Initial appointments will be made for 1 year, with the possibility of renewal for 1 additional year. Candidates should hold a recent Ph.D. in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or related discipline. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
