Description: Multiple ERC-funded postdoc positions at the interface between Computer Vision and Machine Learning are available immediately at (IST Austria) in the group of Christoph Lampert.
Possible topics include, but are not limited to,
- transfer learning (e.g. domain adaptation, lifelong learning, ...),
- visual scene understanding (e.g. object categorization, object detection, ...),
- semantic image representations (e.g. attributes),
- structured learning and prediction for computer vision tasks (e.g. semantic segmentation, pose estimation, ...)
Applicants should hold a PhD in computer vision or a related area of modern image analysis with a solid background in machine learning techniques, such as large-margin methods, deep learning, learning with structured inputs and outputs, and/or probabilistic approaches. A strong research record is required, documented by publications at first-tier conferences (CVPR, ICCV, ECCV) and journals (IJCV, PAMI).
We are looking for highly motivated and creative individuals who enjoy working in an excellent research environment including generous funding for equipment
and conference travel. The successful candidates will have no mandatory teaching or administrative duties, but they should be motivated to take an active
role in the further development of the research group. Good communication skills and fluency in English are required. German language skills are welcome but not required, as the language on campus is English. |
