| Title: Post-doc position on musculoskeletal imaging | Posted: November 18, 2014 | Company/Institution: University of Bern | Location: Switzerland | Department: Institute for Surgical Technology and Biomechanics | Description: The Information Processing in Medical Interventions Group at the Institute for Surgical Technology and Biomechanics, University of Bern is looking for a highly motivated postdoc to develop cutting edge machine learning and medical image analysis algorithms for musculoskeletal imaging, with a focus on developing registration/segmentation algorithms for processing X-ray, CT and MRI data. The position is available from Jan. 1st, 2015. The PostDoc will be part of a team consisting of the PostDoc him/herself, the principal investigator (PI) and four PhD students. Thus, active participation in supervising PhD students is expected.
Required skills/experiences include: (A) Doctorate degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics or related fields with knowledge and experience in medical image analysis, machine learning or computer vision algorithm development and implementation; (B) Strong publication record in major conferences/journals such as MICCAI, IPMI, ICCV, CVPR, ECCV, PAMI, IJCV, MedIA, TMI, etc.; and (C) Excellent programming skills in C++ and Matlab.
