Project: To develop state of art techniques for quantitative analyses of multicellular systems, which are imaged through optical microscopy. Our programs aim to elucidate indices that are predictive of the outcome from a large scale cohort of tumor sections. There is a clear opportunity to work with pathologists and other developers for method development and validation, and having an impact on disease treatment. Typically, students are can have a publication by the end of their internship.
Skills: Applicant must be an expert software developer. He or she is required to be well read in the computer vision literature with emphasis on learning, compressible coding, and low level vision.
