Description: Fixed term appointment for up to 12 months South Kensington Campus Applicants are invited for a Research Assistant/Research Associate position within the Computer Vision and Learning Lab (http://www.iis.ee.ic.ac.uk/icvl), Intelligent Systems and Networks Research Group, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. The position is available under the supervision of Dr. Tae-Kyun Kim. The project focuses on face recognition, face identification, person re-identification, and behavior recognition or facial landmarking, under surveillance scenarios. Experience in real-time vision algorithms, deep learning or randomised decision forests, or any such relevant expertise is ideal. This post will involve adhering to a strict timeline of project deliverables, so the ability to deliver to specified deadlines is required. As this position is readily available, it is preferable that candidates can begin as soon as possible. Applicants with a PhD (or equivalent) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science/Computing, or Mathematics will be appointed at the Research Associate (postdoctoral) level, while applicants with a Masters or those currently working towards a PhD in the above subjects will be appointed at the Research Assistant level.
