|Company/Institution: Imperial College London|
|Location: London, UK|
Description: Applications are invited for a Research Associate position within the computer vision and learning lab (http://www.iis.ee.ic.ac.uk/icvl), Imperial College London.
The project focuses on fast 3D object detection, registration and view-point estimation (see bin-picking problems in Internet). The main objective of the project is to investigate and develop novel algorithms and software that localize and register 3D objects in a depth image (or point-clouds). We pursue efficient features and detection/registration methods.
Applicants should have completed or be close to achieving a PhD in computer vision or machine learning with a strong track record in the relevant field. Experience in 2D/3D object detection and pose estimation, real-time object detection/registration, and random forest or boosting techniques or any such similar work is ideal. The post will involve adhering to deadlines for project deliverables, so excellent programming and demonstrative skills along with the ability to deliver to specified deadlines are required.
Application Instructions: Please send your CV and enquires to Dr. T-K Kim (firstname.lastname@example.org).
