Description: Applications are invited for two 4-year PhD studentships in the School of Engineering & Applied Science, Aston University, Birmingham, UK on the topics of:
1.Deep Learning for Jointly Modelling Text and Image Representations
2.Visual Validation of Agent-based Simulations of Traffic Systems
These studentships will pay tuition fees and a tax-free stipend of GBP 15,000 per annum for a period of 4 years.
Applicants should have a first or upper second-class honours undergraduate degree or a relevant Masters Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related discipline. Knowledge of Machine Learning or Computer Vision would be desirable.
