Description: The Computer Vision group at Yahoo Labs is looking for outstanding PhD intern scientists for the Summer 2016. We are looking for candidates with expertise in Computer Vision and Multimedia, with research experience in the following areas: object / scene / action / event recognition, web-scale image and video understanding, deep learning, language and vision, video summarization, image aesthetics and creativity, etc.
We are located at the heart of Manhattan, New York. The candidate will work with a team of Research Scientists and Engineers tackling real-world problems involving Yahoo's web-scale multimedia data (e.g., Flickr, Tumblr, Yahoo Screen, Yahoo Digital Magazine, etc.). The candidate will have a chance to publish at top-tier conferences in Computer Vision and Multimedia.
- Currently enrolled in PhD program with focus on computer vision or related fields.
- Experience with computer vision libraries and with machine learning platforms.
- Strong algorithmic problem solving skills, and the ability to implement solutions in C/C++, Python, Java, etc.
