We are seeking a technical leader who will lead the development of embedded vision algorithms and sensing systems. In this role, you will provide leadership with innovative ideas and algorithms. You will develop software and vision-based applications in areas such as imaging, computational sensing, tracking, mapping, and machine-learning. The right candidate will possess a strong technical background and will have demonstrated experience in leading small to large projects. You must be able to thrive and succeed in a fast paced research environment. Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent and leadership are essential to success in this role.

Responsibilities include:
-Conduct basic and applied research on computer vision, image/video processing, machine learning, with particular focus on algorithm and system development.
-Effectively lead and contribute to the development of operational prototypes based on research and investigate their deployment to real world operations.
-Seek, develop, and champion new business opportunities.
-Write and win proposals as a team to actively seek funding from various government and commercial agencies.
-Maintain and enhance visibility at the individual, group and company level amongst worldwide academic, research and commercial institutions.
-Give technical and business presentations to external clients, academic and government/industry audiences and to internal staff and management.

-PhD or Masters in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering with an emphasis in computer vision, machine learning, and applications into embedded systems.
-US Citizenship or Permanent Resident preferred, clearance is a plus.
-Proven ability to take on a Principle Investigator(PI) role, leading related technology areas through advancement and proposal/funding opportunities with clients.
-Minimum of 3 years of relevant industry or research experience.
-Track record of technical excellence in basic and applied research including publications, conference and journals in computer vision, computational sensing, image and video processing.
-Proven successful experience in championing concepts through innovation and the proposal process resulting to program awards.
-Proven experience in successfully delivering novel solutions to proposed programs.
-Must have excellent oral presentation and written skills, work well in teams, and have the ability to champion ideas to successful completion.
-Ability to lead projects and people, as well as skills to work as a part of a team to achieve technical and project goals.
-Travel approx. 10%.
