Description: A postdoc position available immediately in the Imaging Research Division, Department of Radiology, University of Pittsburgh We are looking for highly self-motived applicants with excellent research background and scholarly track-records in imaging analysis. The specific postdoc position will focus on developing quantitative breast imaging analysis algorithms and apply them to process large-scale real clinical image data for clinical research studies. Ideal candidates should have a PhD (or equivalent) degree (by the starting time of the job), a strong first-degree in computer science, information science, electronic engineering, bioengineering, or closely related subjects. Skills and experience on image processing, computer vision, and machine learning are preferable. Strong programming experience in Matlab and/or C/C++ is required. Experience in biomedical imaging (such as MRI, CT, X-ray, Ultrasound, etc.), quantitative imaging biomarker development, or clinical research studies is desirable but not required. Additional knowledge in biostatistics and experience of using related software are a plus. Applicants should have excellent ability working independently and collaboratively, and demonstrated skills on oral and written communication in English. Initial appointment of the job is for one year, renewal for up to three years, based on performance evaluation and funding availability (the project is funded by NIH for 4 years).
