Description: We are seeking a Scientist or Postdoctoral Fellow with a background in computer science, bioengineering or related fields. The successful candidate will contribute to research and development in the coherent and robust multi-modal analysis of longitudinal neuro or cardiac MR images collected across different sites. The research projects are funded in part by the NIH Big Data to Knowledge (BD2K) Initiative, the National Consortium on Alcohol and NeuroDevelopment in Adolescence (NCANDA; http://www.ncanda.org), and the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI). The scientist will work in a multidisciplinary research environment closely collaborating and publishing with imaging, computer, and neuroscientists at SRI International and at Stanford University.
The SRI Center for Health Sciences, in collaboration with Stanford University, carries out multidisciplinary research funded by NIH with a focus on HIV, substance abuse, brain development, and cardiac diseases. Human imaging studies are performed on MRI scanners at SRI and in collaboration with other centers, such as NCANDA. The program consists of MR physicists, computer scientists, data scientists, physicians, physiologists, and bio-statisticians, with appointments at SRI International, Stanford, or both institutions.

- Recent PhD in computer science, biomedical engineering, or related field;
or PhD-level Scientist with 2-5 years of related experience.
- Excellent coding skills in (scientific) Python, C++, and Bash scripting.
- Experience with open-source software packages such as ITK and NIPY.
- Experience with analyzing multi-modal neuro or cardiac MR images including structural MRI, fMRI,
and cine MRI. A strong background in DTI is a plus.
