Company/Institution: University of Adelaide
Location: Adelaide, South Australia
Department: School of Computer Science

Description: The University of Adelaide is seeking to fill 2 positions in computer vision, robotic vision, SLAM and machine learning.

The School of Computer Science hosts the largest computer vision and image analysis research group in Australia. The group currently numbers over 60 members including academics, research staff and students. We work on a mixture of fundamental and commercially oriented research projects in computer vision and machine learning, and visual sensing for robotics. We have a very strong track record of publications in the top venues.

These positions will be funded from long-term Australian Research Council grants awarded to Professor Ian Reid, investigating life-long learning for visually navigating systems, and investigating semantics for robotic scene understanding, and will be associated with the Australian Centre of Excellence in Robotic Vision (see www.roboticvision.org).

Postdoctoral Research Fellowship We are seeking to appoint a postdoctoral researcher who will contribute to projects in one or more of the following areas: visual SLAM, large-scale object recognition, visual scene understanding, robust statistical methods, scene reconstruction and visual tracking.

Salary: Level B A$88,731 - A$105,371 per annum

Senior Postdoctoral Research Leader We are also seeking a highly motivated senior researcher to help lead a team of several researchers and PhD students investigating large-scale online learning for semantic SLAM and scene understanding. He/she must be a strong team player, and be able to work with the lead investigator (Prof. Ian Reid) to set research directions and objectives for the team.
