|Title: Fast growing palo alto startup adding computer vision engineer||Posted: October 27, 2015|
|Company/Institution: Aurora |
|Location: Palo Alto, CA|
Description: Who we are:
Aurora is a Palo Alto based startup that is building the operating system of the solar industry. Our product is a cloud-based application that algorithmically generates 3D models of buildings, performs sophisticated solar engineering design, and generates beautiful proposals and visualizations for customers. By allowing solar installers to do all this without ever leaving their office, we slash the cost of solar installations and make solar power widely available to anyone.
The team is made up of graduates from Stanford, Carnegie Mellon and Brown University’s Math, EE, CS, Earth Science and GSB departments. We have won prestigious grants from Stanford’s TomKat Center, and from the US Department of Energy for our technology. Our software is processing over 4,000 projects a week and we are just getting started.
What we are looking for:
We are expanding our team (currently 12 members) and are looking for talented engineers who care about solving challenging problems that really matter. Specifically, we are looking for computer vision engineers who have the following profile:
· Proficiency in C, Python and OpenCV
· Competent in computer vision, geometric modeling, and/or machine learning techniques
· Familiarity with WebGL and PCL is a plus
· BSc plus related work experience
· MSc / PhD in CS, CpE or EE desirable
