Description: Title: Introducing physical constraints in machine learning architectures for detecting shadow effects in images.
The candidate will work in detecting and extracting shadow effects to improve scene understanding in the transportation field.
Candidates must have, or expect to obtain a Master's degree in Computer Vision or a related discipline.
The applicants should hold a solid background in mathematics, computer vision and skills in programming, preferably Matlab or Python
This postion is part of a wider call from the Computer Science Department (http://dcc.uab.cat/) of the Autonomous University of Barcelona. The period for presenting applications finishes November, 7th, 2015. The forecast date of incorporation is January, 11th 2016.
