The candidate will work at the Laboratory for Imaging, Vision and Artificial Intelligence (LIVIA); see the links below for LIVIA and relevant publications. The position is available immediately, and will focus on the investigation and development of learning- and optimization-based techniques for semantic medical image segmentation.
The successful candidate is expected to have:
• A Ph.D. in computer science, applied mathematics, or electrical/biomedical engineering, preferably with emphasis on one of the following areas: machine learning (e.g., convolutional neural networks), computer vision (e.g., MRFs/CRFs), medical image analysis, and/or state-of-the-art optimization techniques for computer vision;
• A track record of publications in the top journals and/or conferences in computer vision, medical image analysis and/or machine learning;
• A solid mathematical background; and
• Solid programming skills in languages such as C, C++ and/or MATLAB. A GPU programming experience is a plus.
