Description: The Sheikh Zayed Institute for Pediatric Surgical Innovation at Children’s National Health System has immediate openings for Postdoctoral Research Fellowships in quantitative image analysis. Children’s National has been a leading U.S. pediatric hospital for over 140 years and is located in the exciting capital city of Washington DC with endless options for culture, entertainment and great food. Located on the top floor of the hospital, our Institute houses one of the largest pediatric bioengineering research sites.

The selected candidates will work in a team that includes reputed surgeons, radiologists, and biomedical engineering experts to conduct quantitative imaging research and development aimed at meeting the Institute’s vision of less invasive and more precise treatments for children. Candidates must have a Ph.D. or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science and/or Applied Physics/Mathematics with demonstrated experience in medical image processing research. Other required qualifications are strong programming, good communication skills and peer-reviewed publications.
