Right now, we're building the most dramatic evolution of our technology yet (not even our users know about this) and we're looking for someone special to join our growing Computer Vision team.

This is a ruddy unique opportunity - we commonly work in uncharted territory with the next generation of machine and vision intelligence, but importantly we put what is largely academic research straight into real world scenarios and ultimately peoples’ hands. Alongside us, you’ll be developing the future of video interactivity and making video an intelligent part of the web.

A bit about who you might be
One of the key requirements is be able to adapt and work in an agile, often fast moving environment and have a keen interest in all aspects of the platform. We often rely on each other to pick apart problems and create solutions.

When a video is uploaded to the wireWAX platform, scene boundaries and camera motion are detected. Faces are automatically detected and tracked and users are able to easily add their own moving ‘tags’ to the people and objects in the video with our general purpose motion tracker. We’re right now rolling out our face recognition and object detection from a single exemplar.

We are pushing the boundaries of what is possible in a number of areas of Computer Vision and are looking for people with demonstrable success in any of the following specialisms:

+ Face detection
+ Facial landmark detection / registration
+ Face Recognition
+ Object detection
+ Scene segmentation
+ Motion tracking

+ Very solid experience with C++ and/or Python
+ Broad knowledge of machine learning/vision techniques and libraries
+ Excellent communication skills, solid work ethic, and a strong desire to write production-quality code
+ Permission to work in the EU/UK

+ Comfortable with Linux environment
+ Experience of working with real-world datasets
+ Knowledge of AWS / cloud infrastructures
+ Familiarity with Big Data technologies - noSQL / Hadoop / MapReduce
