Description: Ph.D. and M.S. positions are available in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at Laval University, under the supervision of Prof. Jean-Francois Lalonde (http://vision.gel.ulaval.ca/~jflalonde). Our group focused on fundamental problems at the intersection of computer vision and computer graphics, such as: illumination understanding, geometry and appearance capture, HDR imaging, and data-driven image understanding and synthesis.

The group is part of the larger Computer Vision and Systems Lab, which hosts the activities of 8 professors and over 100 graduate students and research professionals. The lab provides a dynamic and stimulating environment with an outstanding infrastructure complete with a CAVE room, mocap system, 3-D scanners, a direct access to high-performance computing facilities, etc.
- a strong academic record in computer science or engineering, or a related field
- a keen interest in pursuing computer vision and graphics research
- solid programming ability and writing skills.
