Description: The Media Analytics Department of NEC Labs America in Cupertino (CA) is offering internships in computer vision and machine learning for summer 2017. The Media Analytics group provides a vibrant research environment that produces strong research results. In recent years, we have won the Best Paper Award at CVPR, while our monocular SFM, object detection and tracking approaches are among the top performers on public benchmarks.
Our research focuses on two major directions - image recognition and 3D scene understanding - with applications such as surveillance and autonomous driving that use and push the state-of-the-art in deep learning. If you are interested in object recognition, detection, semantic segmentation, 3D reconstruction or behavior prediction, then an internship at NEC Labs is an ideal avenue to do high-impact research.

1. PhD student in Computer Science (or equivalent)
2. Strong research background in computer vision or machine learning
