Title: PhD Studentship Opportunities in Computer Graphics and VisionPosted: January 20, 2014
Company/Institution: University of York
Location: York, UK
Department: Department of Computer Science

Description:
The University of York is offering PhD studentships for excellent students, to start in September 2014.

There are three sources of funding, each with different eligibility criteria and deadlines (see below for details). Candidates must have, or expect to obtain, a First or a high Upper Second Class Honours undergraduate degree, or equivalent qualification, and/or a Master's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

While these are open calls, I am seeking potential students for projects particularly in the areas of:

- Static and dynamic face capture
- Inverse rendering
- Statistical face modelling

For the IGGI studentships the proposed topic will need to have relevance to gaming, for example visual content capture for games or motion capture for interaction.
