Xerox Research Center India (XRCI) in Bangalore is one of the fastest growing research centers in the world. XRCI is focused on advancing the state-of-the-art in computer vision and machine learning, while developing solutions to address "real world" challenges. We are looking to hire strong researchers for multiple Post-Doctoral and Research Scientist positions. As a researcher, you would apply advanced image and video understanding methods to make a serious business impact across verticals such as transportation, healthcare, education, document management, etc.
The ideal candidate would have a broad understanding of image/video recognition & retrieval, document image analysis, machine learning & deep learning, data mining, etc. Applicants should have made impactful contributions throughout their Ph.D, with multiple publications in conferences such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, etc. and journals such as PAMI, IJCV, etc. Good software development skills in C/C++, Java or Matlab are essential, experience with programming on mobile platforms (e.g. iOS or Android), and sensors such as Kinect is a plus. The candidate is required to be highly creative, out of the box problem-solver, capable of proposing novel solutions to problems and working to refine those solutions in a real-world context.
- Completed or about to finish a full-time PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Senior candidates are expected to play key organizational roles in major conferences.
- Have excellent written and oral communication skills.
