| Title: Computer Vision Scientist | Posted: March 13, 2018 | Company/Institution: Human Longevity, Inc | Location: San Diego, CA | Department: Clinical | Description: Human Longevity, Inc. is looking for an Computer Vision Scientist to assist with developing image analysis and deep learning models using medical imaging data. In this position, this scientist will be part of a team working to create of first of kind methods that would improve the detection of cancer and prediction and prevention of other diseases including cardiovascular disease and dementia.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
This scientist will contribute by creating algorithms for medical image analysis and risk prediction utilizing computer vision techniques and deep learning.
Minimum Qualifications (Must have):
• 5+ Years of software development experience
• Ph.D. in computer science or equivalent
• Strong proficiency with computer vision and deep
learning is required
• Strong proficiency with Python, C/C++
• Experience with OpenCV and deep learning
frameworks (tensorflow, caffe, pytorch)
• Strong understanding of machine learning
algorithms & principles, and numerical
optimization
• Experience working with medical imaging data (3D,
multiparametric, multimodal data)
• Experience with image recognition,
classification, and segmentation
• Coding experience from inception through
implementation
• Solid understanding of good programming
practices, architecture, design patterns and unit
testing
• Excellent communication skills required
• Known for passion and perseverance to pursue
long-term goals through short-term high
performance
• Maintains a positive and respectful attitude
while working collaboratively in a highly dynamic
environment
• Energized by driving innovative solutions and
adapting quickly to new data
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with cloud programming and
architectures (AWS)
• Domain experience in Biotech and Healthcare is
desirable
• Experience in a start-up environment
• Experience in a regulated environment
• Proficiency with object oriented programming
