Description: The laboratory of Geo-information Science and Remote Sensing invites applications from young and motivated scientists for the position of Assistant (UD) or Associate Professor (UHD) in Geo-information Data Science. The candidate will be asked to contribute to the education activities and the group’s research agenda. The candidate is expected to develop innovative scientific research strengthening and complementing the already ongoing themes in the group.
Focus of this position will be in geo-information science and its interfaces with big data science, including (but not limited to) the development of crowdsourcing technologies, visualization/augmented reality, localization, deep learning and/or spatio-temporal modelling of multiple heterogeneous geospatial data sources. The candidate expertise and vision will be in line with the thematic domains of the GRS group: from smart cities, urban computing and digital humanities to agriculture, nature conservation and land use characterisation. Track of successful collaborations with the humanities will be considered an asset.
