Description: A full-time post-doctoral fellowship is available starting immediately for a project focused on information fusion for face recognition in video surveillance. Automatic face recognition (FR) is increasingly employed by public safety organizations for enhanced security and situational awareness. However, recognizing faces corresponding to target individuals remains a challenging problem in video surveillance applications. Accuracy of state-of-the-art FR technologies declines due to variations of capture conditions (e.g., pose and illumination) in video streams. Beyond the controlling capture conditions, techniques for fusion of the matching scores over multiple templates, frames, matchers and cameras may greatly improve the accuracy and robustness of systems. Advanced fusion techniques that are suitable for FR in video surveillance applications will be investigated.
Application Instructions: This project will mostly take place at the Laboratoire d
