  • Deep theoretical and applied knowledge in one or several of the following domains:
    • Mathematical or computational modeling (geometry, high dimensions, variational, statistics...)
    • Visual computing (nD images, meshes...)
    • The position is open to all applications in which the team is involved (among others: medical imaging, anatomical modeling...)
  • Experience in teaching activities and pedagogical skills, with capabilities to teach the fundamentals of image processing as well as some advanced topics
  • Language skills:

Teaching duty is flexible, and concerns advanced undergraduate and graduate students only. Telecom ParisTech is part of Institut Mines Telecom (national public teaching and research institute), which provides support, with the possibility to apply to PhD and post-doc grants.

The candidate will carry out academic research in modeling for visual computing, in collaboration with the team members, and publish his/her research results in leading international journals and conferences. He/she is expected to contribute to the scientific projects we initiated with our academic and industrial partners. The candidate is also expected to set up and contribute to new collaborative projects, and to participate to the supervision of PhD candidates, master and engineering students.

Teaching at Telecom ParisTech is mainly at the Master level and last year of Bachelor. The candidate will be invited to teach in the already defined courses (fundamentals of image processing, advanced courses in image and computer graphics), at Telecom ParisTech, and in partner master programs, in particular in the newly created University Paris Saclay. This includes courses, practical works and project supervision. The candidate is also expected to enrich and extend the existing content by relevant courses, labs and student projects.
