in computer vision and photogrammetry
In our research, we develop methods that automatically extract information from sensors such as photographic images, video, satellite imagery, and 3D range scans. Our work aims to convert visual data into structured 3D models of our environment, and to deliver models and maps to scientists, engineers and decision makers in such diverse applications as earth observation, environmental planning, archaeology and heritage preservation, and autonomous robotics.
We are looking for candidates with an interest in performing cutting edge research, strong motivation, and a desire to learn. An ideal candidate will have
Prior experience in image processing, computer vision and photogrammetry is a plus, fluency in English is required (both written and spoken).
- an excellent degree (M.Sc., M.Eng. or equivalent) in Geodesy/Geomatics, Computer Science, or a related field (e.g. Physics, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics)
- strong mathematical understanding, and
- programming experience, preferably in C++ and/or Matlab.
