We are looking for Postdoctoral Researchers to join the team (of 15 researchers) in our Edinburgh lab location. Within this vital role in collaboration with ILM/Lucasfilm, you will build a research portfolio, as well as smaller self-initiated projects. These two remaining Postdoctoral Researcher positions have an initial term of one to two years with possible Extension.
You will conduct vision research scalable to real-time performance capture as well as conducting advanced pipeline integration of research algorithms into production tools and workflows.
You will be responsible for presenting research problems, plans, and results as well as documenting research in internal reports, peer-reviewed publications, and patent applications. You will work with Disney's businesses to transfer research results and provide expert consulting to various business units of The Walt Disney Company Ltd.
The ideal candidates will have recently completed their PhD in Computer Science, or a related discipline, with publications in top-tier computer vision, graphics, or machine learning conferences and journals in one or more of the following areas: Performance capture and retargeting, Real-time face tracking, Body motion tracking, Real-time optimisation and latency reduction methods, Compressive sensing, Sampling analysis, Appearance capture and modelling, Geometry processing, Machine learning, Real-time Global Illumination, Ray Tracing and Rasterization Optimization, Denoising and Spatial/Temporal Reprojection Methods or Hardware Acceleration Techniques.
